Medicare Prescription Drug Plans in El Paso & Doña Ana Counties

Pay the lowest possible price for your prescriptions — every year.

The cheapest Part D plan on paper is almost never the cheapest for your prescriptions. Medlifeinc runs your exact medication list through every Part D and Medicare Advantage drug formulary available in El Paso & Doña Ana Counties, then ranks plans by your true annual out-of-pocket cost — premium, deductible, copays and the donut hole combined.

Problems we solve

The headaches we hear every day in El Paso & Doña Ana Counties.

01

Cheapest plan, highest bill

A $7/month plan can cost $4,000 more per year than a $40/month plan once your specific drugs hit the formulary. We do the math, not the marketing.

02

Donut-hole shock

Hit the coverage gap mid-year and your $10 copay can jump to $300. We forecast exactly when (and whether) you'll hit it and pick a plan that softens the blow.

03

Formulary changes every January

Your drug can drop a tier, lose preferred status, or be removed entirely. We re-shop every fall before AEP closes so January doesn't surprise you.

04

Extra Help left on the table

If you qualify for the federal Low-Income Subsidy, your premium and copays can drop to near-zero — and most people who qualify never apply. We screen you on the first call.

How it works

Three steps. No pressure.

1

Bring your prescription list

Names, dosages, and pharmacies — that's all we need to find your real cheapest plan.

2

True-cost comparison

We rank every plan by your projected annual total, not the misleading sticker premium.

3

Annual re-shop

Every October we re-run the math. If a better plan exists for next year, we move you during AEP at no charge.

What you get

Built around the way real El Paso County families use their coverage.

  • Plans ranked by your actual annual cost
  • Pharmacy preference honored (Walgreens, H-E-B, Walmart, mail-order)
  • Extra Help (LIS) and Texas Medicaid screening
  • Annual formulary re-check every fall
  • Bilingual support — every prescription explained
  • No cost to you, ever

We'll rank every plan by your real annual cost.

What's actually covered

Standalone Part D vs. Medicare Advantage with drug coverage

Keep Original Medicare or a Supplement? You need a standalone Part D plan. Choose Medicare Advantage? Drug coverage is usually bundled in (MAPD). Mixing them wrong triggers automatic disenrollment from your Advantage plan. We make sure you end up with one — and only one — drug plan, optimized for your prescriptions.

Locally rooted

Medlifeinc compares Part D plans for clients across El Paso, El Paso, Horizon City, Clint, Fabens and San Elizario. We know which local pharmacies are preferred under each plan, including independent pharmacies on Alameda Ave and Horizon Blvd.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we hear most often.

How do I know which Part D plan is cheapest for me?+

Cheapest depends on your exact drugs. Bring your prescription bottles or a list — we'll run them through Medicare's plan finder for every plan in your ZIP code and rank by your true annual cost.

What is the Medicare donut hole?+

It's the coverage-gap stage. Starting in 2025 the gap effectively closes thanks to a $2,000 annual out-of-pocket cap on Part D — a major change we can walk you through.

Can I switch Part D plans during the year?+

Usually only during Annual Enrollment (Oct 15 – Dec 7) or with a Special Enrollment Period (move, loss of coverage, Extra Help qualification, 5-star plan switch).

Do you take a fee for choosing my drug plan?+

No. Carriers pay us a small fixed amount; the commission is the same on every plan so our recommendation is purely on your numbers.

What is Extra Help and can I get it?+

Extra Help (Low-Income Subsidy) lowers your Part D premium and copays. The income limits expanded in 2024 — many Texans now qualify and don't realize it. We screen you on the first call.

Will my pharmacy stay preferred next year?+

Maybe not. Preferred pharmacy networks change every January. We confirm your pharmacy stays preferred under any plan we recommend.
