Medicare Plans in Texas & New Mexico
Honest Medicare guidance from agents who actually live here.
Medicare shouldn't feel like a maze. At Med Life Inc., our licensed Texas & New Mexico agents sit down with you, explain Parts A, B, C and D in plain English or Spanish, and compare the carriers available in your area so you walk away with the right plan — not the one that pays us the most.
Get a real number, not a brochure.
One call, no obligation, no cost.
The headaches we hear every day in Texas & New Mexico.
Mailbox overload
Fifteen brochures from carriers you've never heard of, all promising 'the best' plan. We pull every option side-by-side so you see exactly what each one covers, what it costs, and which doctors accept it.
Doctor network panic
You finally have a primary care doctor you trust in El Paso or El Paso and you're terrified of losing them. Before you enroll, we confirm in writing that your doctors, specialists, and pharmacies are in-network.
Surprise prescription costs
Plans look identical until you fill that first prescription. We run your actual medication list through every formulary and show you the true out-of-pocket cost for the year.
Missed enrollment windows
Annual Enrollment, Open Enrollment, Special Enrollment Periods, Initial Enrollment — miss the wrong one and you're stuck for a year or paying lifetime penalties. We track your dates and call you before they close.
Three steps. No pressure.
20-minute call at no cost
Tell us about your doctors, prescriptions, and budget. No sales pitch — just a real conversation.
Side-by-side comparison
We pull every Medicare Advantage, Supplement, and Part D plan available in your ZIP code and rank them by your actual needs.

We handle the paperwork, confirm your effective date, and stay your agent for every renewal, claim, and question — at no cost to you.

What Medicare actually covers
Part A (Hospital Insurance) covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing, hospice, and some home health — most people pay $0 premium if they worked 10+ years. Part B (Medical Insurance) covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive screenings, and durable medical equipment for a monthly premium ($174.70+ in 2024). Part C (Medicare Advantage) is a private all-in-one alternative that bundles A, B, and usually D, often adding dental, vision and gym benefits — many plans are $0/month in your area but use a network. Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage) is a standalone plan that pays for your medications — every plan has a different formulary, so your pills, not the brochure, decide the right pick. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) sits on top of Original Medicare A & B and pays the 20% coinsurance and other gaps, giving you predictable bills and any-doctor access nationwide. We walk through all five with you and build the combination that fits your doctors, prescriptions, and budget.
We help Medicare clients across El Paso, Horizon City, San Elizario, Clint, Fabens and greater El Paso. Our office is minutes from the Mission Trail, and we offer in-home appointments for clients who can't easily travel.
Questions we hear most often.
How much does it cost to work with a Med Life Inc. Medicare agent?+
Nothing. Medicare agents are paid directly by the insurance carriers, and the commission is the same regardless of which plan you pick — so our advice stays honest.
Can you help me keep my current doctors in El Paso or El Paso?+
Yes. Before you enroll in any plan, we verify in writing that every doctor, specialist, and hospital you use is in-network for the upcoming year.
When can I change my Medicare plan?+
Annual Enrollment runs Oct 15 – Dec 7. Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment runs Jan 1 – Mar 31. Special Enrollment Periods apply if you move, lose coverage, or qualify for Extra Help.
Do you offer help in Spanish?+
Yes — Haydee Velazquez is a fully licensed bilingual Medicare agent. Ask for her by name at (915) 273-1195 and the entire consultation will be in Spanish.
What's the difference between Medicare Advantage and a Supplement?+
Advantage replaces Original Medicare with a private plan that often costs $0/month but uses a network. A Supplement (Medigap) keeps Original Medicare and pays the 20% coinsurance, with broader doctor access and a higher monthly premium.
I'm new to Texas. Can I switch my plan from another state?+
Yes. Moving qualifies you for a Special Enrollment Period. We'll review your old plan, find Texas equivalents, and make sure you're covered the day you arrive in El Paso.
Will my Medicare costs change every year?+
Premiums, copays, formularies and networks can all change each January. We re-shop your plan every fall to make sure you're still in the best option for the next 12 months.
